Amish Man Charged In Road Rage Incident

BIRD IN HAND, PA – East Lampeter Township Police arrested an Amish man today in what they are saying was a case of road rage.

The suspect, Menno Zimmerman, reportedly exchanged words with tourists who were visiting from Baltimore, Maryland.

Witnesses say that during the road rage incident Zimmerman drove his horse and buggy at the tourists in a menacing manner before giving them an obscene hand gesture and yelling at them to “go back to their rat and rodent infested city.”

“Zimmerman has been charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, second degree threatening, and second degree breach of peace.” said East Lampeter Township Police Officer Donald Pence.

Zimmerman is held on $50,000 bond as the case is pending.
