Pot Brownies to Debut at 2017 PA Farm Show

Those long lines at the Pennsylvania Farm Show food stands are about to get a lot longer. Thanks to a agricultural loop hole, all kinds of marijuanna-laced goodies will be for sale, legally, next January. This is all thanks to a little-known 2004 state law that reads “any and all food products shall be available for sale at the annual farm show as long as 100% of the ingredients are grown and manufactured in Pennsylvania.”

There are plans for pot milkshakes featuring Turkey Hill Ice Cream, pot brownies made with real Hershey cocoa, and, obviously, Pennsylvania Dutch Chicken “Pot” Pie.

Farm Show organizers feel that the new foods will still be very popular at such a traditionally family-friendly event. Chief Refreshments Coordinator, Gidget Sprunk said, “It might be a little slow on the weekends, but at 2pm on a Wednesday? Typically, only hard-core stoners have both the time and lack of responsibilities to visit us then!”

Organizers from other prominent Pennsylvania festivals are looking to get in on the act. Kennet Square Mushroom Festival promoters are especially eager to take this idea “to the next level”.
