Lancaster, PA – A coalition of downtown Lancaster retailers has asked the Mayors office to make Prince and Queen Streets two-way streets on First Fridays.
“A lot of people from outside the city come to downtown Lancaster for First Friday but are forced to see everything from only one direction. It’s not fair to businesses whose signs are facing in the other direction.” said one business owner.
This proposal would make Prince and Queen two-way streets for two blocks between Chestnut and King Streets.
A representative from the Mayors office who spoke to us off record said that the Mayor supports the idea and believes it would improve parking on First Friday.
